Healing the Pelvis: Class #1

w/ Pamela Samuelson

We are born into a world that instructs us in nearly every possible way to stop feeling our own bodies, and nowhere is that taboo more intense than when it seeks to limit the power that resides in our pelvises.

The pelvis is the body’s major structural hinge, the axis of our free movement, the palace of our reproductive organs, and the part of us where the sheer number and quality of nerve endings concentrated into a small area makes the wild power of our sexual arousal, sensation, and orgasm possible.

In this one hour class, we’ll begin to delve into the somatics of the pelvis - how our bodies hold the stories they know, and how we can work with simple sensations to reconnect with ourselves as whole, to receive and witness ourselves in kinship with the stories of others, and to begin to offer repair to our wounded places.
